The first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is in the books -- which means it's time for the New England Patriots to get to work.

The Patriots traded down Thursday night (shocker), shipping the No. 23 pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for their No. 37 and 71 selections.

The move gives New England a whopping 13 picks over the remaining six rounds including five picks slated for the second and third rounds, which take place Friday beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Which players are on the Patriots' radar for those five selections (Jalen Hurts, anyone?), or do Bill Belichick and Co. have more trades in store?

As we did for Day 1, we're tracking all of the latest NFL Draft news and rumors right here to keep you in the know entering Day 2. (All times Eastern.)

6:40 p.m.: And now, there are several teams looking to move up. Among them are the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears, per Ian Rapoport.

5:50 p.m.: The Bengals didn't want to trade the No. 1 overall pick last night, but they may trade the No. 1 overall pick in the second round. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Bengals and the Colts (picks 33 and 34) are engaged in trade talks to move down. So, it's anyone's guess what could happen atop the draft's second round.

5:30 p.m.: According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Patriots are among the teams that are considering trading down in the second round. Color us unsurprised.

4:45 p.m.: ESPN's Adam Schefter says that a personnel executive called the second round of this year' draft one of the "deepest in 25 years". That should put the Patriots in position to be one of the draft's influencers on Day 2.

3:00 p.m.: The Houston Texans have locked up their left tackle Laremy Tunsil long-term with the richest deal for a tackle in NFL history. That makes tackle less of a need for them in the draft given that they have Tunsil and last year's first-round pick Tytus Howard on the roster.

2:05 p.m.: Denzel Mims or Ross Blacklock could be targets for the Cincinnati Bengals with the first pick of the second round, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

1:55 p.m.: Could the Patriots trade up for another second-round pick after trading out of the first round?

Our Phil Perry pitched a scenario in which New England lands the No. 50 overall pick from the Bears ...

... And NBC Sports Chicago Bears Insider JJ Stankevicz believes Chicago would take the Patriots up on that deal.

11:55 a.m.: The Carolina Panthers, who pick right behind the Patriots at No. 38, are open to dealing wide receiver Curtis Samuel, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

11:50 a.m.: We could see a Day 2 trade right off the bat, according to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero. The Patriots pick four spots behind the Bengals at No. 37.

11:45 a.m.: Our Phil Perry makes an astute observation: The Patriots have the means to acquire another second-round pick if they so choose.

11:40 a.m.: Former Ravens scout and NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah believes running back and wide receiver could be hot positions today. New England could use the latter.

11:35 a.m.: NFL Media's Ian Rapoport shares a few leftover draft notes, including that the Green Bay Packers may have been pressured by the Indianapolis Colts to jump up to No. 26 and draft quarterback Jordan Love.
