Another top prospect from the University of Memphis has declared for the draft. Following his teammate James Wiseman, forward Precious Achiuwa has entered his name into the mix with some expecting him to be a lottery pick.

Achiuwa is currently projected to go 14th in the draft by NBC Sports Washington and Bleacher Report has him at 12th. Both The Ringer and Sports Illustrated have him ranked 21st overall.

Achiuwa, who turns 21 in September, is listed at 6-foot-9 and 225 pounds. He earned conference player of the year honors as a freshman while averaging 15.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.

Achiuwa is one of the top rebounders available in the draft and was one of the best athletes in college basketball this season. He projects as a power forward or small-ball center at the next level.

The Wizards could use a player with Achiuwa's skillset. He rebounds and defends, which are two areas of weakness for Washington. But any team drafting Achiuwa will have to consider what his ceiling is offensively.

Achiuwa can score around the rim, but has not proven he can consistently shoot from the outside. He shot 32.3 percent from three on just 1.3 attempts per game at Memphis.

Achiuwa may also not fall in the Wizards' range, as they currently hold the ninth-best odds in the lottery. Taking Achiuwa around then would constitute a reach by most mock drafts.

But, as we've seen over the years, mock drafts aren't foolproof and sometimes a player is regarded much higher by teams than expected.

ESPN first reported the news Achiuwa had declared.
