Class of 2018 Tennessee kicker Charles Campbell is a Hoosier.

The 5-foot-8, 175-pound specialist from University School of Jackson (Tenn.) announced his verbal pledge to the Hoosiers Sunday night, becoming the eighth member of the 2018 class.

"I am very excited to announced I am committing to INDIANA UNIVERSITY," Campbell tweeted Sunday.

The commitment came five hours after Campbell received a scholarship offer from IU. He also held offers from Army and Navy.

He joins three-star Illinois defensive tackle Gavin McCabe, three-star Georgia linebacker Aaron Casey, three-star Illinois offensive tackle Nick Marozas, three-star Illinois tight end Matt Bjorson, two-star Tennessee wide receiver Jacolby Hewitt, three-star Lowell (Ind.) High defensive back Jordan Jusevitch and three-star South Carolina cornerback Elijah Rodgers in IU's 2018 recruiting class.

Campbell, who will be playing in the U.S. Army All-American Game, converted on 10 of 14 field goal attempts and his lone missed extra point attempt was blocked. He helped lead the Bruins to a 9-4 overall record and Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Division 2 Class A semifinals appearance.
