2 LBs elevated to Bills roster, Jonotthan Harrison joins practice squad

Since Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano were announced out for the Bills’ Week 2 meeting with the Miami Dolphins, the team has now pulled two other linebackers off their practice squad on Saturday ahead of the game.

Those two moving up to the Bills’ active game day roster were Andre Smith and Deon Lacey. Having previously played for the Bills in 2017 and 2018, Lacey was only just re-signed this week. Ironically enough, Lacey spent 2019 with Miami.

The Bills traded for Smith on Aug. 31 just prior to roster cut down day. He spent Week 1 on the team’s practice squad.

In addition to moving up the pair of linebackers, Buffalo signed former Jets offensive lineman L Jonotthan Harrison to their practice squad. In a corresponding move Victor Salako was released from the practice squad.

Harrison, 29, appeared in all 16 games for the Jets last season, making 10 starts. He has 42 starts in his career. Primarily a center, Harrison has also played guard in his career. He previously had a free-agent visit to Buffalo on Sept. 8.
