For the record: Perry had a dominant showing against Waterloo and needed a fourth-quarter rally to defeat Waynedale to get to a district semifinal. The Pirates are strong on both ends of the court and have had three players emerge on the offensive end as difference-makers. Led by Vince Tomasic, who averages 16 points, Perry can work inside and out. Derreon Malone is a threat from beyond the arc. He averages 14.1 points per game with 48 3-pointers, and Brayden Richards is the main distributor with 2.7 assists. ... South Range has won 13 of its last 16 games, including victories over Austintown Fitch, Poland Seminary and Lowellville. The Raiders average 59.9 points per game while Perry holds opponents to 52.7 points and held 11 opponents below the 50-point mark. South Range's biggest question will be if it can hold Perry under its average of 61.1 points per game.
