For the record: The Cardinals are in the district final for the first time since 2016. They are coming off a district semifinal win over Louisville in a game in which they trailed by 10 at one point. Solid second-half defense was the key, as well as some big shots from guards Sophia Stouffer and Nina Rodriguez. For the season, Mallory Chicone (10.3), Izzy Coode (8.9) and Maggie Hawley (8.4) lead the team in scoring, but the Cardinals are a balanced team offensively with many different players able to have a big game on a given night. ... Magnificat has won four in a row since a late-season, 51-46 loss to Gilmour. Julia Hall, a 6-foot junior, averages 14.3 and Sofia Wilson, a 5-7 junior, averages 8.1.

Kampf's pick: Magnificat
