For the Record: The Vikings found their stride in the middle of the season and never looked back. Since Dec. 29, VASJ has won 13 of its last 15. The offensive attack has worked as a quartet through the season, headlined by Quandell Wright at 16 points per game. Jeremiah Martin (15.7 points), Sean Shenker (12.5) and Antonio Brown (11.5) are also double-figure scorers for the Vikings. The four also play big factors in the other parts of the Viking's game plan. Shenker serves as the deep threat for the Vikings with 59 3-pointers on the season, while Brown has been big on the boards (6.6 rebounds), Martin runs the offense (5.6 assists) and Wright has also found his way to the glass (5.2 rebounds) while also being a strong on-ball defender (2.1 steals). ... Alliance upset Holy Name in the second round to make it to the district. The Aviators have held opponents to 60.5 points per game this year and will need to be ready for the multi-faceted VASJ attack. Alliance is 9-5 in games decided by within 10 points. With a Vikings' offense that averages 64.8 points, it could be a contest of who gets the lead first and plays strong defense down the stretch.
