So it is very likely that if you were asked why you consider the most valuable car brands in the world, you would inevitably think of names like Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Porsche or Lamborghini. But your answer would be wrong, because according to experts in the field, none of them occupy the first places in the world ranking of car brands with a higher value. In fact, some of them are not even in the top 15 positions.
Every year the Interband company produces a world ranking on the most valuable brands of the planet. And as you can imagine, technology companies, like Apple, Google or Microsoft, occupy the top positions. That is why we have wanted to look only in the automotive sector where, as we have already mentioned, there are many interesting surprises.
To establish the ranking, this agency combines financial forecasts, with calculations about the strength and the role of the brand in the market. All of this together results in an amount that is comparable among all the companies in the world.
In some cases, the brand value is quite similar to the stock market value of the companies. In other cases the difference can be very large. That happens, for example, with Tesla, whose stock price is $61,000 million and its brand value is only $4.010 million.
