4. HA1 Hard-Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set

If you’re shopping for a nonstick cookware set, the All-Clad HA1 10-piece set is the best choice. It’s beautifully designed, featuring a sleek, black finish and shiny metal handles. Unlike other nonstick cookware sets that can’t produce a crispy sear, our reviewer found the pans to do particularly well in creating a hard sear while she cooked chicken with skin on. The lidded pot is great for creating fluffy rice, as the tight-fitting lid is able to trap steam inside. The set includes 8- and 10-inch frying pans, 2.5- and 3.5-quart sauce pans, a 4-quart sauté pan, and an 8-quart stockpot.

Though this large cooker may seem heavy at first, its sturdy and ergonomic handles make moving it a lot easier, according to our tester. Its black, ceramic insert is safe for oven use and cleaning in the dishwasher. Like the exterior, the insert also has handles that allow you to transport the inner pot from one place to another. It’s programmable and has three cooking modes (Low, High, and Hi/Lo). Once cooking is completed, it automatically switches to Keep Warm setting and will last up to six hours.

6. All-Clad Stainless 14-inch Open Stir Fry Pan

This 14-inch wok doesn’t come cheap, but it's constructed from American-made steel and it also comes with a lifetime warranty. If you do a lot of stir-frying, it might be worth the price tag. Although it took longer to heat than any of the other pans in our tests, the tri-ply bonded steel heated evenly once it got there and retained that heat just as well.

7. All-Clad E752C264 Stainless Steel Large Roaster

This tri-ply stainless steel roasting pan was one of our top performers in our oven tests and made a nice gravy. Though it’s not inexpensive, our tester thinks its heavy construction and excellent performance will last you a long time. The flat handles are designed to help you lift and transport the pan comfortably when it’s hot (with plenty of room even while you’re wearing oven mitts).

This large scale comes with a magnetic weighing plate that has a flared rim, a helpful feature for home cooks which can help keep oddly-shaped objects (apples, watermelons) in place while weighing. Its LCD control pad is responsive and the display screen gives readings instantly. You can adjust the modes (oz, mL, lbs, g, and kg) depending on what you’re measuring. Overall, its build quality may last you a while—if space is no concern.

9. All-Clad Graphite Core 8.5-inch Skillet

If you prefer a piece of cookware that’s lightweight but powerful, you may want to check out the All-Clad Graphite Core collection. Our reviewer was amazed by how light this skillet felt, as well as its incredible ability to evenly distribute and retain heat. With a lightly greased surface, she was able to effortlessly make eggs and pancakes without burnt bits.

This saucier is great for making a delicate sauce, risotto, or polenta, as the curved bottom prevents any food bits from getting lodged and scorched in the corners of the pan. It features a wide and flared opening, making pouring liquid out of this pan easy. Thanks to the light graphite core, transporting this saucier from the stovetop to the dinner table (if needed) is easy-breezy.

As graphite is more conductive than copper, a highly conductive material used for quick heating, this 3-quart sauté pan has become our new favorite for quick sears.
