The show Inside Edition went on a deep dive of royal-to-be Meghan Markle’s filmography. the show aired a segment featuring the video on Thursday, Nov. 30.
At just 11 years old, Markle appeared on Nick News on Nickelodeon in 1993. In the video, Markle is seen challenging gender roles in advertising. She wrote a letter to a Proctor & Gamble asking them to change a line in a dish soap commercial from “Women all over the world” to “People all over the world.” Surprisingly, the company changed the line.
The video features an interview with the young Markle. Inside Edition looked back at the footage with a fond eye toward the future duchess, remarking on her “easy charm and intelligence” and even complimenting her penmanship.
So if you want a TV show to compliment your handwriting, be a thoughtful kid who gets engaged to a member of the monarchy.
