100 days till Cardinals’ season opener: Stats for No. 100

We have officially made it to the final 100 days off the offseason. The Arizona Cardinals will kick off the 2023 regular season in 100 days on September 10 on the road against the Washington Commanders.

It will be the official beginning of the Jonathan Gannon era as head coach.

In our countdown until the start of the season, we will give you notable stats in Cardinals history related to the number of the day.

100 receptions in 2007

Fitzgerald had exactly 100 receptions in 2007, the first year with Ken Whisenhunt as head coach. Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart both played as starters.

It is the only time a Cardinals player had exactly 100 catches.

100 career field goal attempts

Pat Summerall, who is most famous for being John Madden’s broadcasting partner, played for the Cardinals as a defensive lineman and kicker from 1953-1957. In five seasons, he attempted exactly 100 field goals for the then Chicago Cardinals. He made only 41.

100-point seasons

Three Cardinals kickers had exactly 100 points in a season.

Jim Bakken did it in 1973, then Greg Davis did it in 1993. Jay Feely did it in 2012.

100 punts downed inside the 20

Jeff Feagles punted for the Cardinals from 1994-1997. He had exactly 100 punts downed inside the 20 in his time with the team.
