Janel McCarville believed the New York Liberty would prevail despite blowing an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. McCarville's layup with 6.4 seconds left lifted the Liberty to a 69-68 win over the Sparks on Friday night. "I was pretty confident we were going to win the game," said McCarville, who led the Liberty with 15 points.

Jackson's basket gave the Liberty a 73-69 lead with about a minute to play, and her free throw with 25.2 left put them up 76-71. Loree Moore added 10 points and was the only New York starter in double figures.
