Former Laney High School basketball star turned WNBA player set to coach with 'Chicago Sky' 2 hours ago WWAY News , Tamera Young (Photo: WWAY) WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Former Laney High School basketball star and Wilmington native Tamera Young is continuing to make an impact on the game. Young recently signed an assistant coaching contract with the Chicago Sky exactly 16 years after being drafted eighth overall in 2008 by the Atlanta Dream. “I am grateful for the opportunity then and now,” Young said on Instagram.
