AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN (TICKER) —Deanna Nolan scored 21 points and Cheryl Ford had 19 and a season high-tying 18 rebounds as the Detroit Shock held off the New York Liberty, 87-82, in overtime on Wednesday afternoon.
Swin Cash added 19 points for the Shock (15-5), who outscored the Liberty, 17-12, in the extra period to secure the victory.
Nolan shot 8-of-19 from the field, including 3-of-5 on 3-pointers, and Ford was 7-of-17 from the floor for Detroit, which shot 43 percent (30-of-70) and outrebounded New York, 38-33.
Janel McCarville and Ashley Battle scored 19 points apiece for the Liberty (10-10), who shot 45 percent (31-of-69).
