Brown talks with the media on Saturday
kurt: So, Trump's statement about Ford is "mostly false" because, while they are indeed moving their entire small car division to Mexico, Ford CLAIMS that it won't affect any US jobs? Even if that were true, and Ford had new jobs for everyone in the factories being closed in the US, opening factories in Mexico instead of the US still has a negative impact on jobs in the US. Think about it. Lets say for argument's sake that the factories being closed in the US have 500 employees, and when those factories close they are moving those 500 employees to different jobs here in the US. Great. Except when Ford opens the new factories in Mexico and hires 500 people to work in them, those 500 new jobs WILL NOT BE IN THE US! So either Ford moving small car manufacturing is going to reduce the number of employees in the US, or it is going to hire 500 new employees outside of the US.
