Norris Cracks Grand Slam to Help Down Mets

Derek Norris hit a grand slam and finished a perfect 5-for-5 in Thursday afternoon's 8-7 win over the Mets. Norris was integral to the Padres' comeback operation. Down 7-1 in the seventh inning, he stepped up with the bases loaded and smashed a grand slam off of Mets reliever Hansel Robles. That's not all. Following a rain delay of 44 minutes, the catcher singled with two outs in the ninth inning and would come around to score on a three-run homer by Justin Upton that gave the Padres the lead and win over the reeling Mets. Norris is slashing .238/.283/.407 with 12 homers and 49 RBI this season.
