Scouting Report on Chet Moss

On the Hoof: Moss is muscular, but still has room to add size in the upper body. He looks like a cross between Zach Zwinak and Mike Hull, both Penn State signees this past year.
Needs Improvement: At one point last season his lower legs were so thick it hurt his lateral movement just a tad. He also is such an aggressive tackler that he leaves himself vulnerable against the play-action pass. Moss could improve his coverage skills.
Most Impressive: Moss has excellent straight-ahead speed and the size to handle the melee between the tackles. He thrives on contact and is always looking to knock someone’s head off.
Conclusion: Could end up becoming the leader of a defense because of his tenacity and ferociousness on the gridiron. He will be a heat-seeking missile on special teams. Don’t be surprised if he plays early because he is smart and mean - a fantastic combination.
