Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris
Reacted quickly to push a Mahrez shot onto the post, but once again created trouble for his own defenders with his wild distribution. 6/10

Kieran Trippier
Embarrassed by Sterling, his England team-mate, for the opening goal. Improved thereafter and dovetailed nicely with Sissoko down the right. 6/10

Davinson Sánchez
The Spurs player who looked most comfortable against the pace and speed of Sterling and Aguero. Physically dominant. 7/10

Toby Alderweireld
Did not have too much to worry about in behind, instead watching nervously as City popped the ball around midfield. Solid again. 6/10

Ben Davies
Unable to push forward and provide his usual width when Spurs attacked as Walker and Mahrez proved so threatening on the counter. 6/10

Eric Dier
Thumping foul on Aguero was indicative of his difficulties in midfield. Removed early as Pochettino sought more control of possession. 5/10

Mousa Dembélé
Took the fight to City in central midfield, winning tackles and passing with composure. Made way as Spurs pushed for more in attack. 7/10

Moussa Sissoko
Powerful dribbling meant he punched more holes in the City structure than any other player. Occasionally lacked quality with the pass. 7/10

Erik Lamela
Found himself in a series of dangerous positions in the first half before drifting out of the game. Ballooned the big chance over the bar. 6/10

Lucas Moura
Booked for diving and struggled to use his pace to any great effect. Nowhere near the same sharpness as we have seen this season. 5/10

Harry Kane
Went close with powerful effort from range, then overran a key opportunity in the first half. Well controlled by Stones and Laporte. 5/10

Manchester City

Ederson
Helped to create the opener with a long pass to Sterling and was so sharp in closing down Kane. Took few risks with the ball. 7/10

Kyle Walker
Visibly desperate to impress against his former side. A little erratic in attack but he was always an option as City took control. 6/10

John Stones
A fine example of front-foot, aggressive defending. The England defender is forming a wonderfully balanced partnership with Laporte. 7/10

Aymeric Laporte
Has become such a pivotal figure in this City defence. Aside from one rash challenge on Sissoko, this was another composed performance. 7/10

Benjamin Mendy
Never looked comfortable on a difficult surface for the full-backs. Was disturbed by the direct running of Sissoko and lacked his usual verve in attack. 5/10

Bernardo Silva
Such a slippery presence in midfield against the physical strength of Dier and Dembele. Drifted wide and combined well with Mahrez. 7/10

Fernandinho
Had more defensive work than usual as Spurs swarmed the midfield. Kept his composure, apart from one poor challenge, and passed with precision. 6/10

David Silva
Toyed with the Spurs defenders at times. Another controlling performance but he inexplicably passed to Sterling when he was just yards from goal. 7/10

Riyad Mahrez
Finished his early chance with conviction and was only denied a second by the post. Sharp in his dribbling and his passing. 8/10

Sergio Agüero
Would have expected to do better with a clear second-half chance. Always menacing, he was often let down by the final pass. 6/10

Raheem Sterling
Scorched past Trippier not once but twice to create the opening goal. Less involved than Mahrez but a constant threat in behind. 7/10
