Oregon’s Coast to Host Surfing Retreat for Women in July 2012

When you hear the words, "surfing retreat", you're most likely to think of places like California and Hawaii. That's understandable. But what if I told you that those two states are not the only ones that offer surfing retreats? There is another one that you might have never even expected. I'll let you in on the secret. The state in question is Oregon. Here's the scoop:

Surfing Retreats in Oregon

July 15th through July 20th, 2012 Oregon's coastal region will host the Northwest Women's Surf Camps Surf Immersion Retreat. The six day, annual retreat is open to all women who register online for the event while space remains. During the retreat participants will enjoy beach side accommodations, surfing lessons, beach yoga, beach bonfires and massages. But that's just the half of it. Also on tap are hula hoop lessons, skateboarding demonstrations, live entertainment and organic cuisine. By now you may be wondering what the cost is for all this surfing fun, fellowship and decadence. The price is $2,195 per person but discounts are available if you book early. The price is inclusive of all the surfing equipment that you'll need in order to participate.

About Northwest Women's Surf Camps

The Northwest Women's Surf Camps has been in operation for eight years and frequently hosts surfing retreats in Oregon. The beaches used for the retreats include Seaside and Cannon. Both are exceptionally beautiful beaches. You can request a visitor's guide and surfing information for Cannon Beach through the area's chamber of commerce. In addition to the women's programs, the group also offers surfing retreats for couples, kids and men throughout the year. For those that are interested, there is a couples' surf retreat scheduled for August 17^th through the 19^th, 2012. Guy's surfing retreats are slated for various dates throughout the summer and early fall.

Surfing Retreats in Hawaii

Can't make it to Oregon in July? How about the Hawaiian Island of Kauai in April? The same group behind Oregon's surfing retreat has also arranged a surfing retreat to take place April 24^th through April 30^th, 2012 in Kauai. The Hawaiian surfing retreat will feature elements similar to those offered in Oregon. There will be surfing lessons, beach yoga, massages, organic foods and live entertainment. Other Hawaiian surfing retreat activities include lei making, drumming circles, stand up paddleboard lessons and a ukulele concert. Prices for the Hawaiian surfing retreat start at $3,095. You may opt to make online reservations for that retreat as well.
