Valentine’s Day: Five Famous Sports Couples Still Going Strong

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and in the world of sports there is certainly not a shortage of love and romance in the air.

These famous sports couples are in love and ready to celebrate the holiday together. Whether they have been in their relationship for sometime or are just starting out, they all seem to have that staying power that most celebrity couples lack. Maybe the rest of the world can take some pointers from them on how to make a marriage survive.

Hopefully, these five couples will continue to stay strong, so they will have many more years to celebrate this romantic time of year.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf

This power couple knows the true meaning of "the game of love". Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have played that game on and off the tennis court. Ten years and two beautiful children later, they are still making their marriage work. These two retired tennis pros seem to be perfect for each other and are now enjoying their family time and still playing in charity matches. Between the two of them, they should have enough funds to live on for a while. They deserve to relax after their whirlwind sports careers.

Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner

Remember that spitfire gymnast from Romania that stunned the world with a perfect 10 at the 1976 Olympics? That little girl grew up and married another famous gymnast, Bart Conner. This athletic couple spent years doing aerobatic moves and then tumbled their way into their hearts. They married in 1996 and now have a son, Dylan, that just may follow in his parents' footsteps.

Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff

Former Disney actress Hilary Duff and her Pittsburgh Penguins husband, Mike Comrie, have only been married for a year, but they sure know what romance is all about. They are also extremely excited as they await the arrival of their baby boy who is due in March. These two are quite adorable together.

Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood made her singing debut on "American Idol" back in 2004, but little did she know that she would go on to have the highest selling country debut album of all time and land herself a hockey playing husband, Mike Fisher. He was traded last year from Ottawa and now plays for the Nashville Predators. This couple married in 2010, and with both of them having such busy careers, they have decided to wait for the pitter-patter of little feet in the Fisher household.

Kristi Yamaguchi and Bret Hedican

You can't get a better love matchup than two athletes who have spent most of their lives on ice. Their love for skating and for each other has been evident from the beginning. Olympic gold medalist figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi and Bret Hedican, who plays for the Carolina Hurricanes, have two gorgeous daughters and are still happily married after 11 years.

*Kim Brandow has loved tennis and figure skating for a long time. She also enjoys other sports as well.
