The Lady Bucs are currently 24-2 overall and 8-0 in the ACCC North after defeating division foes Lawson State (64-45) on February 9 and Gadsden State (110-64) on February 6. Shelton State also defeated Alabama Southern 77-55 on February 11.

In the game against Gadsden State, Shelton State reached 100 points for the second straight game (the Lady Bucs had defeated Southern Union 102-51 the previous game) and fourth time during the 2011-12 season. Shelton State dominated all phases of the game against Gadsden State as they shot 56.2% from the floor (41-73) and 52.2% (12-23) from three-point land. The Lady Bucs, led by freshman Sharin Rivers, started off fast and continued their hot shooting through the first half as they took a 57-30 halftime lead. Sophomores Psachel Maize and Alexis Brown added 13 points apiece for the Lady Bucs.
