5 Clothing Companies that Offer Multi-Level Sponsorships to Skaters

Skate clothing sponsorships vary quite a bit. Some companies just offer product discounts to their sponsored skaters, while others provide sponsored skaters with free product as well as pay the skaters' contest related expenses. Therefore, it pays to do your research and shop around in order to find the skate clothing sponsorship that is right for you. Personally, I recommend that you try soliciting the companies that offer multiple levels of sponsorship first. In my opinion, it is the best way to develop a long term, sponsorship relationship with a company. To help you get started, here are five clothing companies that you may want to consider sending a sponsor me request to this year:

1. Fuel Clothing

Fuel Clothing is based out of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and typically sponsors both skate events and skaters. Those interested will need to apply online. Sponsorship benefits vary based on what level the company reps feel you are best suited for.

2. Berma Clothing

Berma Clothing is a lifestyle apparel brand based out of Southern California. In addition to skate swag, sponsorship benefits include opportunities to be featured on the company's website. You may apply for sponsorship with the firm through its website.

3. Red Hawk Brigade

The Red Hawk Brigade is a clothing company based in Los Angeles, California. It offers a progressive series of skate sponsorships. Benefits vary based on the level of sponsorship. Low level sponsorships are discount based. Higher levels involve free product. You have until August 29th, 2012 to get your online sponsorship requests in. Once the company receives your information, its reps will determine what level of sponsorship you are eligible for.

4. They Clothing Company

They Clothing Company is based in Hemlock, Michigan, and offers skaters a series of flow to pro sponsorships. It appears to be one of the better skate sponsorships out there for amateurs in terms of different benefit levels. The company reps will determine what sponsorship level you are best suited for. You have until April 3rd, 2012 to get your sponsorship requests submitted.

5. Osiris

Osiris manufacturers skate shoes and considers skaters for its The Chozen program. You have to have a free Looped account in order to submit your information for the company's program. If you are accepted, the company reps will send you additional sponsorship details.

My children are skaters and I have a history of following the sport. In addition, I have a marketing degree and have spent many years working in the field.
