Foesel favors three

Junior tight end Dan Foesel has made a name for himself in New Jersey this year, and the 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect is on the radar of several college programs.

Foesel has helped Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic bounce back from a season opening loss to St. Joseph’s, and now he and his squad are sitting at 5-2 on the season. If De Paul wins their next contest they will secure a home game in the first round of the state playoffs later this year.

Though Foesel did get some time on defense as a sophomore, this year he has lined up strictly at tight end. On the season he has caught 22 passes for 340 yards and five touchdowns, using his size and quickness to create match up problems down the field and across the middle.

“I went down to Rutgers for a game this year,” Foesel recalled. “It was against Texas Southern. I had a good time. I got to see some of the coaches and I watched the players on the Scarlet Walk.”

In addition to Rutgers, Foesel said he has been receiving a good bit of interest from Boston College. Both of those schools, plus one other, are now in a good position with the jumbo athlete.

“I haven’t heard anything about offers yet, but hopefully they’ll come,” he said. “Right now I really like Rutgers, Boston College and Pitt, I would say.”
