Roger Federer's tweener is quickly becoming a featured player in his shotmaking ensemble.

In his first match since losing in the U.S. Open semifinals to Novak Djokovic, Federer broke out the now-patented shot for the fourth time in his career. For the fourth time, it was successful:

After the match, Federer spoke about the tweener. "The reaction to the shot was amazing, as it usually is," he said (gotta love that Federer modesty). "I'm hitting that shot so well now, it's almost the most consistent shot in tennis these days. I've attempted it something like four times in the last few years, and every time I made it -- and won the point off of it."

Federer went on to win his second-round match over John Isner.
