In a 2004 Davis Cup match, Andy Roddick hit a 155 mph serve, the fastest ever recorded. Today, he shares his secret with Busted Racquet readers.
The American's main piece of advice is to be 22 years old, so if you're older than that and are not Benjamin Button, the most practical tip is to concentrate on the lower half of your body. Do that, Roddick says, and you'll add 10 to 15 mph on your serve.
Roddick won his first round match at the US Open on Monday in straight sets. His fastest serve was 139 mph. Slacker.
