i dunno what she's done to cope but i hope she's seeing psychologists. the entire situation seems to have somehow made her scared on the court when she used to not be. she used to stay in matches till the very end.

okay, after qualifying yesterday for the championships JJ goes down. ironic eh? somewhere i bet vera is slapping herself for not fighting harder against pironkova. however, not surprising it was at the hands of kleybanova.

Good memory Scot J. Definitely, she never recovered from that home robbery when she and her family were held at gun point and robbed money, jewellery. Its was during the wave of celebrity especially athletes houses being targeted and robbed all over the world. A lot of US athletes went through similar situation after that.

too bad for anna--it's sad to think now,she actually won this title a couple years ago when it had greater depth of competition. she's just not the same player anymore. i think after that home invasion she and her family endured last year,it seems to have affected her a great deal.
