VWilliams reaches Doha semis thanks to Kuznetsova
DOHA, Qatar (AP)—Venus Williams has reached the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Championships with a little help from Svetlana Kuznetsova, whose 6-3, 6-2 victory over Elena Dementieva secured the American’s passage into the knockout round.
Dementieva had a chance of joining Serena Williams and Jelena Jankovic in the semifinals, but was dominated by Kuznetsova in their last round-robin match Friday. Venus, Kuznetsova and Dementieva all finished with one win and two losses in their group, but the American won more sets. Serena won all three of her matches.
Victoria Azarenka of Belarus or 19-year-old Caroline Wozniacki will take the last semifinal berth.

If you are so absurd and mental as to actually claim there is no double standard as regards the Constitutional right of free speech, then you are misinformed or racist. Rush was banned from buying a sports team something because of made-up "quotes." There is not a racist bone in his body.
However, Richard Williams HAS made, many times, blatant and virulent racists remarks.
As to me, I do not say anything close to what Richard Williams says. He refers to "skinny white girls" but I am merely complaining of a double standard.
This is not a first amendment issue. Richard Williams and Serena Williams are not fit to participate in professional sports, unless that sport has no standards of acceptable behavior whatsoever.
That other racist poster said something about my buying chocolate milk? That's not racist?

There's a double standard, anyone with at least one ear knows it.
Affirmative Action in tennis = a low standard for Williams sisters, their shrieks and violence, and their father and his racist outbursts, a high standard for everyone else, where none of it is ignored or tolerated.

When will her coach/father be banned for his continuing racist comments?
If she was white, she would be banned in a heartbeat.
There's nothing less interesting than watching the Shriek Sisters scream at their opponents
