Stephanie Dubois wins in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP)—Stephanie Dubois became the first Canadian woman to win the Odlum Brown VanOpen, beating top-seeded Sania Mirza of India 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday.
The second-seeded Dubois, from Laval, Quebec, lost to Britain’s Anne Keothavong in the 2007 VanOpen final.
In the men’s final, third-seeded Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus beat Belgium’s Xavier Malisse 6-4, 6-4.

Now, I can't believe that Baghdatis and Malisse are playing in Challengers!! What ??
I like them both but aren't they past playing Challengers?
Oh well... perhaps they needed a couple of extra points to get into the main draw somewhere...
Once again, it's great to see that little Stephanie with a huge heart and fighting spirit winning the Vancouver tournament.
