After one game as England manager, Sam Allardyce has a 100 percent record and that’s how it will remain. Forever. On Tuesday the English FA confirmed that Allardyce, 61, was out as England’s manager after just 67 days in charge. Allardyce was at the center of a sensational undercover investigation by The Telegraph which was released on Monday and showed Allardyce talking with businessmen (who were actually reporters filming him secretly) about how to circumvent transfer rules. Key figures of the English FA were locked in meetings at Wembley Stadium all day Tuesday with many reports stating that Allardyce offered to resign. Christian Pulisic continued his fairytale rise up through the ranks of the soccer world on Tuesday as the 18-year-old jumped off the bench and notched a crucial assist as Borussia Dortmund scored a late equalizer in the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid. Trailing the reigning European champions heading into the final few minutes at home in their Group F game, Pulisic picked up the ball on the right flank (see video below) and drove towards Real’s defense. Dortmund’s fans went nuts and so did Pulisic. The U.S. national team attacker has now made five appearances in all competitions for Dortmund this season, scoring once, and the Hershey, Pennsylvania native revealed what it felt like to play against Real in a huge UCL game at the Westfalenstadion.
