Beckham debuts in AC Milan friendly
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Ticker)—David Beckham made a quiet debut for AC Milan on Tuesday, departing at halftime as the Serie A club recorded a victory via penalty kicks over Hamburg in a friendly.
After playing to a 1-1 draw, AC Milan earned a 4-3 edge in penalty kicks.
The former England captain joined AC Milan on a three-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
On Tuesday, the 33-year-old Beckham played in midfield before being replaced by Mathieu Flamini.
Ronaldinho put the Rossoneri ahead with a 63rd-minute penalty, but Collin Benjamin equalized four minutes later.
