Valencia Ace David Villa To Snub Chelsea For Manchester United - Report
Valencia striker David Villa will snub an offer to join Chelsea because he favours a move to Manchester United, according to a report in free newspaper Metro.
The west London outfit are hopeful that their FIFA transfer ban will be lifted in time for them to make a £33 million move for the player in January.
Valencia are suffering financial problems and need to cash in on the Spain international.
Nevertheless, Metro reports that the Spaniard has turned down a previous approach from Chelsea and would prefer a move to the north of England.
A source reported as 'close' to the player told the newspaper: "David was approached about the Chelsea move in the summer but did not fancy it.
"He was not sure how often he would play or whether they played his style.
"Manchester United is his first choice in England, but there is a problem with that because of the price and his age.
"If it can be agreed with Valencia he would sooner go to Old Trafford."
