Carlos Bocanegra and Rennes were able to secure all three points against Le Mans thanks to goals from Senegalese defender Abdou Kader Mangane and Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan in the 10th and 81st minutes, respectively.
Despite being rested for the match, Bocanegra was forced to make a 21st minute appearance due to an injury to Mangane. With the return to form, Rennes sits in 10th place in Ligue 1 and will hope to improve their position when they face third-place Lyon on Sunday.
