VIDEO: Al Hilal Striker Nawaf Al Abed Scores After Two Seconds
Saudi striker Nawaf Al Abed has scored what newspapers in the Kingdom are claiming to be the fastest goal ever recorded in a professional football match, when he gave Al Hilal the lead after only two seconds.
The incident took place in the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Cup match between Al Hilal and Al Shoalah. The goal was officially clocked at two seconds and the match eventually ended in a 4-0 win for Al Hilal.
Al Abed spotted the Al Shoalah goalkeeper off his line straight from the kickoff and the 21-year-old striker tried his luck from the halfway line.

You have obviously been exposed to only the drunken frat boy version of the game. The fact that the players at Harvard and Yale added the forward pass and blocking to the game of rugby does not automatically give the game even a hint of strategy. In top flight or even club level rugby with no strategy and discipline you will not make it through the 15 opposite players that really just want to get that ball from you by any means for their team.

As someone that watches ALL sports I will say that soccer (futbol) is great to watch when played right. World Cup and the Euro Cup are great and always have a lot of passion behind them. Outside of that sometimes soccer (futbol) can be boring when passes aren't crisp or if the teams are just sucking that day. When the game is on it's top level it really is a beautiful game.
American football is great because it's all about strategy and the players doing their assignments perfectly. If someone screws up in what they do then it can lead to a big play. This is why college football has such high scores, lots of screw ups.
Oh and I'm not letting any of you into my compound when the zombie apocalypse hits. Not with those kinds of attitudes. :P

first off i am an independent because i chose to stay out of political arguments, and secondly i said right wing EXTREMISTS not right wing party members in general. The numerous republicans that are to the extreme right have voiced their opinions about what they think of the Muslim world. They are also the same people that believe Obama is an Muslim, just because he has a Muslim name. So before you spout off and calling people names read what i said. I wasn't calling all reps. idiots i was simply reffering to the people that make these generalizations and listen to idiots that spread that Islam teaches to hate, because it does not. So before you go off on a political rant to save your party's face... think. one thing that both parties refuse to do.

I seem to remeber a little experiment calle NFL Europe that in truth failed miserably! Games were attended by ex-pats and eventhen it was more for a chance to drink beer with other Americans in one location.
As far as you SOCCER lovers out there go, just wait until the world sees top flight 7's rugby in the 2012 Olympics. Soccer will drop like a rock once people know the glory and power that is rugby.
LOL
(politics on a sports blog....this must be moderated by soccer lovers.....lol)

Yeah, that's why American football is still played only by americans compared to rugby. In other words, if football/soccer is adapted to the "american creative ideas" it will be doomed just like the american football.
Football/soccer is the biggest sport today; it proves that people in the whole world love to play it as it is.
