Steve McClaren Will Return To England 'Some Time In The Future' - Stuart Pearce
By Omar Dabbagh
Current England under 21’s coach Stuart Pearce has stated that former national boss, Steve McLaren, will not stay away from his home country for much longer, after being sacked from the England post almost two years ago.
McLaren left in disgrace in January after being dropped as head coach of the Three Lions due to his failure to guide the side to Euro 2008.
But Pearce is adamant that the ex-Middlesbrough chief will return, despite his current successes in managing Dutch club FC Twente.
As he told Sky Sports: “I am sure some time in the future he will come back to English football, but it is not like suggesting he has disappeared off the face of the earth or fallen down a black hole. He hasn't.”
Pearce added that McLaren’s time in Holland will boost his confidence and managerial skills if he were to return to England.
“Steve is a very good coach, he always has been and is enjoying his time there, which is good to see.
