Sevilla Midfielder Jose Carlos Delighted With Copa del Rey Performance
Sevilla winger Jose Carlos has admitted that he faces a difficult challenge in displacing Jesus Navas in the first team, but believes that his brace against Atletico Ciudad de Lorqui will be a vital boost to his chances.
"I'm very happy, firstly for my appearance and then for helping the team with the two goals," the 22-year-old reasoned to Marca.
"The coach will use me when he thinks it's right. It's clear that I have one of the best in Europe ahead of me - I will keep working for whenever the opportunity comes."
Carlos added that he hopes his versatility will enable him to feature on a more regular basis for los Nervionenses, but he is not interested in a move away from the club as he believes he will learn more by staying in Seville.
"I would like to play as many minutes as possible. I can also play on the left, even as an attacking midfielder, although the coach decides where I am suited best.
"I'm very happy here and I know I'll learn through having such good players beside me. Although I don't play as often as I would like, Sevilla are a magnificent club that have the best players."
