Parma Give Ghana Youngster Four-Year Contract
Italian club Parma has given a four-year-deal to Bright Addae of the Ghana Black Satellites U-20 World Cup winning squad for an undisclosed fee, according to MyJoyOnline.com.
However, the 17-year-old cannot join the European side until after the 2010 World Cup finals when he turns 18, which is necessitated by a FIFA directive which prevents footballers younger than 18 years to be transferred to Europe. The player joins a host of interesting young Ghanaians joining clubs in Europe.
After a successful trial stint with Parma, the Ghanaian local with Wa All Stars had the contract.
Addae was an extra time substitute for Ghana in their recent historic win of the U-20 World Cup against Brazil in Cairo, Egypt.
