Napoli Duo Marek Hamsik & Christian Maggio Get All-Clear For Catania Clash

Return to OriginalNapoli coach Walter Mazzarri can breathe a sigh of relief as Marek Hamsik and Christian Maggio have been given the green light to travel to Catania this weekend.
TuttoNapoli.net reports that Hamsik resumed training with the rest of the squad at their Castel Volturno base on Wednesday afternoon after overcoming a stomach problem that had forced him to sit out the previous sessions following last Saturday’s 3-2 win over Juventus.
Meanwhile, Maggio had come down with the flu after the Turin clash but worked in the gym on Wednesday. He is expected to link up with his team-mates today.
However, defensive couple Hugo Campagnaro and Fabiano Santacroce are still sidelined and will not make the trip to Sicily.
Veteran right-back Gianluca Grava is likely to step into the three-man back-line next to captain Paolo Cannavaro and Matteo Contini.
Mazzarri seems inclined to stick with German Denis up front after his superb display against Juve. Italy international Fabio Quagliarella could be benched for the second week running.
