Miroslav Blazevic Announces Bosnia Squad For Portugal World Cup Play-Offs
Bosnia-Herzegovina coach Miroslav Blazevic has named a 26-man squad for 2010 World Cup play-offs with Portugal in Lisbon on November 14 and in Zenica, central Bosnia, four days later.
"Never in my 40-year-long career have I ever had a more important match. However, I am absolutely sure that the whole of Europe supports Bosnia-Herzegovina," 74-year-old Blazevic told the press.
"Because of their technical skills and short passes, Portugal force their rivals to accumulate a lot of yellow cards. That is why I have invited 26 players. I don't want to leave anything to chance.
"I'd be satisfied with a 5-0 win for us. Honestly, I think that even a minimal defeat would be a good result for us in Portugal. Everyone wants us to qualify, but not many people believe that that is possible."
