Manchester United Goalkeeper Ben Foster Keen To Make Peace With Sir Alex Ferguson

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster is eager to play down his recent talk of being unhappy at the club.

The 'keeper had previously expressed concern over his situation at Old Trafford, as he is currently third in the pecking order behind Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak, whilst still managing to start for England.

The situation could see Foster miss out on a spot in the 23-man squad that will travel to the World Cup, as Fabio Capello has previously warned all contenders that he does not intend to take anyone who is not playing regularly at the highest level.

However, the 26-year-old is determined not to upset either of his managers, and hopes to win back Ferguson's trust.

"It is everything for a footballer to go to the World Cup but I can't go saying 'I want to leave' or anything like that," Foster is quoted by the Press Association as saying.

"Edwin van der Sar is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. I can't really go knocking on the manager's door and say he is not doing his job because he is."
