John Terry: Chelsea fans and players never doubted Didier Drogba
By Adithya Ananth
Chelsea captain John Terry has insisted that the club's players and supporters have never questioned the quality that Didier Drogba brings to the pitch.
The Ivory Coast international endured a rough patch last season under Luiz Felipe Scolari after returning from injury, but was rejuvenated when Guus Hiddink took the reins of the Stamford Bridge outfit.
The former Marseille star has since maintained a spot in the starting line-up under current manager Carlo Ancelotti, and has been pivotal - alongside strike partner Nicolas Anelka - to the Blues' early-season success.
"Chelsea fans and players never doubted Didier. His love for this club and the passion he shows is unbelievable," Terry said on the club's official website.
"When we lose a game there is no one more disappointed than him. He shows his anger, shows his frustration, because he cares.
"You see him in the dressing room, in training motivating the players, he really cares, and it was great to see him with a new contract and he's paying them back."
