Jack Rodwell isn't going anywhere - Everton manager David Moyes
By Omar Dabbagh
Everton manager David Moyes has quashed any rumours that midfielder Jack Rodwell will be moving to either Chelsea or Manchester United, declaring that his man will not be transferred anywhere.
It has been heavily suggested that both Carlo Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson are keeping track of young Rodwell’s progress with the Toffees, but his boss insists that he has had no contact with any club about him.
Moyes told The Telegraph: “You could come and look at my desk, check my phones to see if I have had any calls from Manchester United, or Chelsea, or whoever.”
The Scot added that whilst it was difficult to state categorically that Rodwell would remain with Everton, he stressed that if any move did happen, it would not be on his part or of the club's.
“We have had nothing. It is hard for me to turn round and say he will not be leaving, because I said I would not sell [Joleon] Lescott, but have we had any contact with a club, or are we sitting on an offer? No,” he said.
