FIFA Under-17 World Cup Round Of 16 Pairings: Hosts Nigeria Battle New Zealand
The FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria has reached the round of 16 with the host country drawn to play debutants New Zealand and Spain up against Africa's other representatives, Burkina Faso, on Thursday.
Top favourites and three-time winners Brazil have crashed out of the competition as have the Netherlands.
The tournament will observe a three-day break and resume on Wednesday with an all-South American clash between Argentina and Colombia in Ijebu-Ode.
In other matches in this knock-out stage are Italy facing United States of America, Mexico battle Korea, Switzerland vs Germany and Iran tackle Uruguay.
The quarter-finals are slated for Sunday and Monday next week, while the semi-finals will be played on Thursday, November 12.
The final and third-placed matches will be staged on November 15 at the Abuja National Stadium.
In the final matches in Group E on Sunday, Spain downed Malawi 4-1 and USA pipped UAE 1-0, while in Group F, Korea defeated Algeria 2-0 and Italy played out a goalless draw with Uruguay.
