Felipe Melo Picks Up Injury In Training With Brazil - Report
Brazil and Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has reportedly picked up an injury that is likely to keep him out of the Selecao's friendly on Saturday.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old was involved in an accidental collision with Werder Bremen centre half Naldo in training.
Melo required treatment and was subsequently forced to cut his training session short due to a muscular problem in his right leg. The full extent of the injury is not yet known.
Juventus will now be waiting nervously as their midfielder undergoes a series of examinations to determine the problem.
Melo has already suffered from a number of minor complaints since joining the Bianconeri, while Claudio Marchisio and Mohamed Sissoko's ailments have, at times, left coach Ciro Ferrara short of central midfield options.
Brazil are due to play Fabio Capello's England side in a highly-anticipated friendly match at 18:00 CET on Saturday.
