Fabio Cannavaro: Alessandro Nesta, Antonio Cassano & Francesco Totti Are All Champions
Juventus and Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro has once again been asked about the national team squad selection and whether he would like to see the returns of Francesco Totti, Alessandro Nesta and Antonio Cassano for the World Cup in South Africa.
However, the player claims he has no say in the matter and that he trusts coach Marcello Lippi to make the correct choices.
"I would like all of them [to come back] - they are all champions," he was quoted as saying by Rai Sport.
"However, it isn't the players who decide. Cassano is a strong player and is doing well, but Lippi knows his stuff and we must let him work."
Alessandro Nesta spent the majority of last season out with injury but has returned to form with Milan.
"We are happy to see him back to a great extent. He decided to leave the Azzurri, that's a difficult decision to rethink," concluded the 36-year-old.
