Christian Vieri Signs Pre-Contract Deal With Brazilian Club Botafogo
Despite declaring his retirement last week, saying he "no longer had the will" to play football, Christian Vieri is on the verge of joining Botafogo.
O Globo reports that the former Italian international has signed a pre-contract deal with the Brazilian club and he will complete his medical in the near future.
"It's all done," revealed FIFA agent Frank Assuncao.
"We have already completed the preliminaries, [the deal is] only lacking the final details."
Thus, the 36-year-old should be featuring in the Paulista championship in 2010. He has played for 12 different clubs during his career, most notably Juventus, Inter, Atletico Madrid and Milan.
