Brazil President Tips Ronaldinho To Lead The Selecao To World Cup Glory
Brazil President Lula da Silva has no doubt that Selecao boss Carlos Dunga will re-open the Selecao doors to Ronaldinho and the Milan star will steer the national side to a sixth World Cup crown next summer.
“Ronaldinho can become our biggest weapon for 2010,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The Brazilian people and I root for it. His start to the season with Milan was not good, but there is time ahead of the finals in South Africa.
“If he gets down to work and makes sacrifices to reach this objective, I believe that Dunga will have the best version of Ronaldinho at his disposal.
“He must rediscover his earlier form. The football magic has not evaded him.”
Ronaldinho has been showing signs of returning to his best in recent weeks after a troubled start to the campaign and is starting to forge a lethal partnership with Alexandre Pato.
“Pato is fast, talented and a finisher,” explained the Brazilian leader.
“But he is still young and they must be patient with him. Then again, they should also demand a lot of him so that he does not get complacent.”
