According to Francefootball.fr, Algerian international defender Anthar Yahia is set to miss out on his side’s match against Fribourg on Saturday due to a thigh injury. The player underwent an MRI scan today to ascertain the extent of the knock but the results have not been released yet.

This bit of news will certainly trouble his national team coach, Rabah Saadane, who is already dealing with the headaches caused by the uncertainty over the participation of Mourad Meghni, Madjid Bougherra, and Karim Ziani.

While the players themselves have insisted that they will be ready for their upcoming World Cup qualifier versus Egypt, Saadane will certainly be thinking of his backup plans in case any of them are not in good enough shape come next Saturday when his side faces the Pharoahs in a match that promises high drama.
