Algeria’s Karim Matmour: The Match Against Egypt Has Started Already
Borussia Monchengladbach player Karim Matmour has told Al Heddaf that now that his team’s Italy based training camp has begun, he is completely focused on the task at hand, for both him and his Algerian national team-mates.
“The match already started for me as soon as I put my foot down in Florence. It’s very important to stay concentrated. This pre-match period needs to be handled correctly. Personally, I’m thinking about it a lot,” he explained.
The Strasbourg native and the rest of the side are undergoing their training at the World renowned Covercianno facilities where Italy usually trains, but unfortunately for them the weather has not been the best and the rain and cold is expected to continue until Wednesday.
Nevertheless, spirits are reportedly high in the Fennecs camp, with Algeria so close to qualifying for the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
