Serbia ends South Korea’s 27-match unbeaten run
LONDON (AP)—South Korea’s 27-match unbeaten run ended Wednesday with a 1-0 loss to Serbia in a friendly between the World Cup participants.
Nikola Zigic scored after six minutes at Fulham’s Craven Cottage after the lanky Valencia forward connected with Nenad Milijas’ cross.
Korea had four of the players who helped the country reach the semifinals of the 2002 World Cup in the starting lineup, but they were little match for the powerful Serbian team.
