Arsenal captain Fabregas out for another 10 days

LONDON (AP)—Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will be out for another 10 days with a hamstring injury.

The Spain midfielder aggravated an existing injury during a 27-minute cameo on Sunday against Aston Villa. He came off the bench to score twice in a 3-0 victory.

Manager Arsene Wenger said ahead of Wednesday’s English Premier League match against Portsmouth that “it looks like he will be out for 10 days.”

Fabregas will also miss Saturday’s FA Cup match at West Ham and the home league fixture against Bolton on the following Wednesday.

He could return for the Jan 9. match against Everton.

#5(generalspade)...You obviously care as you took time to read the article and post that you don't care. Homosexual sport? What does that even mean? Your IQ must be smaller than the radius of a soccerball. Or maybe you are just attracted to soccer players? Just sayin'.

On to a more interesting note: I am tired of Barca floating signing Cesc. I mean make an offer already or shut up. Every transfer period Barca says something but does nothing. I don't think Cesc will go anyway for the reasons most people have said. Every person who has left Arsenal recently has gone on a decline (Adebayor, Flamini, Hleb, Toure, Henry, etc etc). So I am sure Cesc sees that and realizes why be just one fish in a huge pond (Barca) when you can be the biggest fish in a big albeit not as huge pond (Arsenal). Plus remember that Xavi is only 28 so he still has plenty of time before Cesc could become the man at Barca, but if Cesc stays with Arsenal at the same amount of time he can lead Arsenal to great heights. So I think Cesc stays for at least 5 years with Arsenal (or until Wenger leaves).

Personally I hope he stays for a while because the Arsenal team is very young and can achieve very great things if they stay together for 5 years (Vermaleen, Song, Sagna, Clichy/Gibbs/Traore, Ramsey, Fabregas, Bendtner, Nasri, Vela, Eduardo, Fabianski/Manone, Arshavin, Diaby).

Cesc is the man for Arsenal and is beloved by fans...he will just be another part of the puzzle for barca. It's a possible move in the future, but not any time soon.

If he goes home to Barca, it wont be to warm the bench. Guardiola wants him more than any other player apparently, for the Barca project. Remember Inesta can move up to play Henry's spot-not like Thierry is delivering too much- and Xavi could use a rest,
Cesq could also play the wing and then Messi could...well lets just say as complicated as it could be Guardiola has proven he does nothing simply for doings sake. Barca has a plan and a vision, and when they get it going they play football like no other team. Watching them set up an attack has to be one of rthe most breATH TAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN SPORTS. SO THERE....

You must be kidding. You want him go back to Barcelona so they can sit him at the bench or compete for his place at the starting line up? At least he's the main man in Arsenal and if he goes to Barcelona, he will have to compete with Keita, Xavi, Messi, Toure...etc for a place in the starting line up and I don't really think he wants that stress because that can easily affects a player's confidence. Look at what it did to Hleb after his move to Barcelona from Arsenal. I think he knows that so he's better off staying at Arsenal.

Why not return to the club that raised you?? Guess he had a change of heart...but I don't doubt I'll be seeing him wear the blaugrana jersey within the next two years.
